It was my first time in Lapland, so I did the Multi-Activity stay, and it really matched my expectations! Ski touring, sled dog safari, visiting a reindeer farm, and more… We never got bored!
The landscapes are magical, the organization is top-notch, the accommodations are great, the food is fantastic, and the guides are super friendly and very professional!
And of course, everything is topped off with a sauna in the evening!
I highly recommend it — I’m even thinking of doing it again next year!

Our stay in Flarken was absolutely wonderful—filled with amazing encounters and unforgettable moments! The multi-activity theme allowed us to discover so many things—we didn’t have a single moment of boredom! From horseback riding to trying Altai skiing, full days with sled dogs, a magical day among the reindeer, a unique overnight stay on the island, and cozy meals by the fire—every moment was intense and magical. The team was fantastic. Fabien generously shared his knowledge about the region, the animals, and the lives of his dogs. The other guides were incredibly attentive and shared their passion with such enthusiasm. We’ll never look at a forest the same way again 😉 A huge thank you to the whole team—we’ll definitely be back 🙂 Until then, we’re returning home with stars in our eyes.

That’s why I joined the Flarken team at the beginning of the month for a multi-adventure stay. And the experience exceeded all my expectations!
The beauty of the snowy landscapes, the light, the colors, the haunting silence, the connection with the animals, the guidance, the teams’ pedagogy and good spirits, the food, the variety of activities, the facilities… However, this stay isn’t for everyone. You need to be aware of the challenges: the cold, group life, schedules, and good physical condition.

I did the multi-activity stay, and the team took great care of us. The meals were hearty and delicious. The introduction to dog sledding plus the 2-day trek was a fascinating discovery. Five days immersed in nature with Flarken Adventure, and I’m forever changed. This dog sledding expedition went far beyond anything I could have imagined. The dogs… I never expected to get so attached! They’re incredible—each with their own personality—and the energy they radiate is contagious. Their bond with the team is fascinating; you can feel the deep connection between them and the people who share their daily lives. Life returns to its most essential rhythm, stripped of anything superfluous. Cooking over an open fire, warming up together under a starry sky, stopping each evening in off-grid cabins with no electricity… That’s where true connection is born—within the group, but also with the environment around us.
And then there’s Laura. A woman with a special presence—calm, grounded, yet with an undeniable natural authority. She knows her world inside and out, every dog, every trail. You trust her instinctively. She embodies the spirit of this place. Adrien complements the experience perfectly. Patient, attentive, and genuinely kind, he brings ease and fluidity to every interaction. As an instructor myself, I know how rare and valuable those qualities are.
This journey—through frozen lakes, marshlands, and Swedish forests under the northern lights—is so much more than just an adventure. It’s an immersion, a complete disconnection, a return to what truly matters. It’s hard to put such an experience into words… but one thing is certain: you have to live it. For me, it’s an annual tradition I wouldn’t miss for anything in the world. What a joy to reunite with Laura and Fabien—and of course, the true stars: the dogs and Mother Nature. I never get tired of it.
It’s always an immense pleasure to find some of the same dogs in my team that were already there 4 or 5 years ago, and to gradually grow closer to others, including the younger ones.
I also haven’t forgotten the retired dogs, who are now enjoying peaceful days at Flarken—that, in itself, is something truly special.

I had an incredible dog sledding raid stay with the Flarken Adventure team!
The team is always giving their all to make sure we enjoy every moment. We even got to try Altaï skiing on the ice during the day arranged for the PCR test in Pitea. The atmosphere is friendly, the food is excellent and authentic, the encounters are wonderful, and of course, the landscapes are magical.
We learn to take care of the dogs, get involved in daily tasks, and of course, there’s time to relax in the sauna every evening! A fantastic adventure.

Despite COVID-19 and the need to cut the stay short to take a PCR test 1.5 hours away, the team went above and beyond to ensure the quality of the stay remained optimal and that we didn’t miss a single moment of the original program. And on all counts. The welcome, kindness, and availability of Fabien and Laura, logistics, meals, advice, etc. Flexibility and day-to-day adaptation depending on mood, weather, and evening plans :) essential for a successful fishing trip. The accommodations are ideally located to explore the region and the spots (unlimited, let’s be clear…) The other lodgings—cabins, islands—add the “into the wild” touch. The house that served as our base camp is perfect for six and very well equipped. Fish density… how to say… Returning to France to fish for pike, perch, and grayling will seem quite difficult and emotionally poor. Basically, depending on the spots, you’ll catch fish that probably have never been hooked before. Here, catch and release is not just a trend, and respect for the fish is very important. Barbed hooks and treble hooks are useless given the volume of fish you catch in a day :) Equipment is available and perfectly suited for boats and canoes, always well equipped. Fishing gear is also available if needed. The region is wild, rich in biodiversity, and beautiful, and there’s no fishing pressure here. Let’s keep it that way ! In short, after a 10-day stay with 4 anglers (three lure fishing and myself fly fishing), we will come back—no doubt about it. Here, you won’t experience a sanitized trip, and the price/experience/pleasure ratio is hard to beat. Enjoy the stream!

We hadn’t quite checked the box for “Fisherman’s Paradise” when booking with Flarken Adventure, although secretly we hoped to get close—and that’s exactly what happened!
Rivers, lakes, pike, perch, grayling, a spacious and comfortable base camp house, incredible cabins on a small island, and Laura and Fabien taking great care of you—what more could you ask for?!

Our first experience with Flarken Adventure doing multi-activities this summer, and honestly, we were not disappointed. A big thank you to Laura, who cooked us delicious meals and, above all, shared her love for the dogs. Fab, the boss and also like a god in the eyes of his dogs, introduced us to canoeing and fishing. And Greg, our Gandalf, the quiet strength, who guided us on a 20 km hike. Thanks also to Floriane from Horses of Taïga, with whom we discovered the Icelandic horse and its famous tölt—a wonderful experience.
We had an amazing week: adorable dogs, a top-notch team, and splendid nature… What more could you ask for? A new trip, but in winter for a sled dog raid to enjoy the pups even more. One thing is for sure—we’ll be back.
